1. What is IPL?

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a modern method used for permanent or long-term hair removal. IPL can be absorbed by the hair follicle, stimulate the hair follicle to enter dormant period, inhibit hair regrowth and achievie permanent hair removal.

2. Does Inlins IPL work on all hair types?

Inlins works on most hair types. IPL relies on melanin which is found within the hair pigment, absorbing the light energy. Although noticeable, it is not as effective on very light blonde hair or grey coloured hair.

3. What skin types can you use it on？What about freckles/moles?

IPL is suitable for all but the darkest skin tones. However, you should not use your handset over areas where there are very dark freckles or moles. But it is ok to use over light freckles. If you have skin tone brown only use up to intensity level 3 and start by testing on intensity level 1.

4. Is IPL safe?    

IPL is now the most effective and common method for removing hair. All of our products have been clinically tested to meet all regulation safety standards. Because of this, IPL has become an extremely popular, safe and effective method of hair removal at home and in clinics. We recommend checking prior to purchase whether you are suitable for IPL.

5. How does IPL work?

Light energy is absorbed by areas of high pigment such as hairs, which are therefore heated up. The heat damages the hair follicle, slowing hair growth and even preventing it from growing.

6. Do I need to wear eye protection?

No, it isn’t necessary to wear any eye protection while using the Inlins IPL. Thanks to a sensor on the handset, unless the entire window is pressed against your skin, the handset will not pulse. But as with any light, it’s not recommended to look directly into the source.

7. How long will it take before I start seeing results?

On average, most users begin to notice a reduction of hair after just 3-4 treatments, with complete results after up to 12 treatments. Results vary from person to person. If you insist on using it, you will see visible hair removal effect.

8. How often should I use my IPL?

We recommend using your Inlins IPL 2-3 times per week for the first 8 to 12 weeks. After this period, use monthly or until satisfied to maintain silky smooth hairless skin.

9. Which areas of my body can I use it on？

You can use your handset on your entire body, including some more sensitive areas. This includes your Brazilian/ bikini area (but not around or on the genitalia), face, arms, hands, legs, back and neck, feet… but do not point directly into your eyes.

10. Does my IPL come with a warranty?

Yes. Your IPL will come with a full 12 months warranty for peace of mind.

11. Should I shave before using my IPL?

Yes. You should shave the desired areas before using your IPL handset. It’s recommended that shaving before using foam or cream.

12. Can I wax or shave between treatments?

It is only recommended to shave if you need to. If you insist on using it, you must can achieve the ideal hair removal effect. You should never wax, pluck hairs as these hair removal methods removes the root, which is what absorbs the light from the Inlins IPL during the treatment.

13. Is it safe to use whilst pregnant or breastfeeding?

Although there has been no evidence showing negative effects that IPL has on pregnant or breastfeeding women, it’s still not recommended to use our IPL handset.

14. Can I use my IPL over tattoos？

It is recommended not to use your IPL over areas of skin where there are tattoos.

15. Can I use IPL before/after sunbathing?

It’s recommended to wait 48 hours after using the IPL before tanning. If you have recently been sunbathing, it’s recommend to wait 2 weeks before using your IPL handset on your skin. In addition, artificial tan (fake tan) should not use IPL.

16. How many years will the Inlins last?

The IPL has over 1000,000 flashes built in and ready to use. If used as recommended, this means it should last well over 10 years.

17. How is the IPL powered?

Each Inlins IPL Handset is plugged in and comes with a power supply suitable for your country.

18. What’s the recommended minimum age for IPL?

We recommend our Inlins IPL to be used only for ages 16 and above.

19. Is Inlins IPL safe to use?

Inlins IPL has been tested for the safe use of hair removal via Intense Pulsed Light. Our products carry the safety CE mark.

20. What certificates has Deparee IPL approved?
